I grew up on the state line of Alabama and Tennessee, where there are no art classes for miles. As a self-proclaimed creative person with no clue about the "rules of art," I decided to go to an art school.

I will be graduating from SCAD this November, and I can safely say I learned a lot of rules. I hope to break a few in my next step of life: The Start of the Career. *duh duh duhhhhh*

In all seriousness, I love what I do. I plan to apply everything I've ever learned or taught myself (whether it's hierarchy in layouts or how to macrame) and turn it into a great piece of work. If I've learned anything from going from the Middle of Nowhere to an art school, it's that advertising isn't just about a crappy commercial. It's the challenge of bridging the gap between a business and making something really cool. I want to accept that challenge for the rest of my life.
