Don't Get Murdered
Brand: My Favorite Murder is a popular true crime podcast hosted by comedians Georgia Hardstark and Karen Kilgariff. It runs for free on all podcast platforms, but they also have a paid membership, merch, and live shows.
Strategy: Take away the negative stigma associated with true crime lovers and show that true crime teaches valuable lessons about how to not be a victim and not get murdered.
Interactive Experience
The Don't Get Murdered Museum plays on the fact that there are so many Murder Museums in the U.S. that fetishize serial killers.
My Favorite Murder wants to bring awareness to the victims, survivors, and families of those affected by crime, not those who caused it. With this interactive experience, they are providing a platform for individuals to share their stories and for others to reflect.
We worked with an industrial designer to create the museum. We decided on a circular layout so that participants have to go through the full experience before exiting through a "reflections room."
